Son, husband, father, artist, computer geek, designer and lover of bikes. That's me in a nutshell.

I was born in Brooklyn, raised on Long Island, moved to Albany in '97 after meeting my wife Natasha on vacation. We were married and have two beautiful daughter's, Eliana and Karina, and now live in Delmar, NY. I like to draw, always have, I share that love with my kids. I also love computers and taught myself everything I know. My latest endeavor is running a Windows/Linux dual-boot on my laptop. To pay the bills I am a mechanical designer and work for Plug Power. I design fuel cells to power forklifts and pallet trucks. I handle system level integration and overall engine design. All this design work is done using 3D modeling software called Pro/Engineer.

I am a family man and a corporate man but my real passion is mountain biking. I've been riding as long as I can remember. I started out on tricycle and then a Big Wheel (man do I miss having a hand brake) then moved onto to bigger bikes with banana seats and sissy bars, then onto BMX bikes and then to road bikes. My road riding stint was short lived though, some jackwagon in a big old Pontiac decided he could make a turn without looking and took me out. I was off the bike for a while. Although I really missed riding, I was not about to get back on the road bike. My opportunity came when my friend Rich wanted to go on a road trip to West Virginia to mountain bike. Intrigued I said, "Mountain biking...what's that?". He said "You ride" What no cars and I control the danger level? Sign me up! That trip sealed my fate and I've been hooked ever since.

That was in the early 90’s and since then I've had several different bikes and ridden tons of different places in NY, NJ, VT, MA, and NH. I like all types of riding but prefer trail riding on the aggressive, gravity fed side. For several years I also was a board member for the Saratoga Mountain Bike Association which stewards a trail network in Saratoga Springs, NY. So I handled everything from trail building, event planning, mass e-mailings, dealing with local shops, message board moderation and of course interacting with our members.

I love bikes. I just can't get enough. If I am not riding them, I am reading about them, If I am not reading about them, I am thinking about them...yatta yatta get the picture. From the friends I have made to the people I've met and ridden with. Mountain bikers truly are the chillest, most down to earth and friendliest group of humans I have ever met. I am proud to dwell amongst you and be counted in your ranks.

I am thankful to TMTBL team for allowing me to talk bikes with you. I hope you find what I write, helpful, insightful and funny.
